List Labs bacterial toxins for research
List Biological Laboratories (List Labs) produces bacterial toxins for research. The company’s cholera, pertussis toxins and endotoxins are extensively cited, and have been used across multiple disease research models to determine the involvement of different signal transduction mechanisms.
The application of cholera toxin is varied, being recently used in breast cancer studies and in allergy treatments to several common foods, including peanuts. Pertussis toxin has been useful in creating models of demyelinating disease and for whooping cough treatments.
Purified from various bacterial sources, List Labs’ endotoxins are widely applied in the field of immunobiology as immune stimulators/modulators in various cell culture work and as adjuvants.
