Lumiprobe fluorescent BSA conjugates

Tuesday, 03 November, 2026 | Supplied by: Sapphire Bioscience

Lumiprobe’s ready-to-use fluorescent conjugates of bovine serum albumin (BSA) with AF 488, AF 647 and sulfo-Cyanine7 use a defined dye-to-protein ratio to provide reproducible fluorescence characteristics and enable labelled BSA to be used not only as a tracer, but also as a standard for quantitative fluorescence measurements.

Labelled BSA is widely used as a model protein and fluorescent tracer. It can be used to study endocytosis and intracellular transport, assess the permeability of cellular and tissue barriers, investigate cerebrospinal fluid flow and glymphatic system function, and track the distribution of biomolecules and delivery systems. BSA conjugated with far-red and near-infrared fluorophores is also suitable for studying distribution in tissues and in vivo.

Lumiprobe’s fluorescent BSA conjugates are distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Sapphire Bioscience.
