Millipore Luminata horseradish peroxidase substrates

Monday, 07 June, 2010 | Supplied by: Merck Pty Limited

Millipore has announced the introduction of a line of premixed Western blot detection reagents. Luminata horseradish peroxidase substrates offer high sensitivity and chemiluminescent detection.

The HRP substrates eliminate the extra step of mixing the detection reagent, while still providing results. The premixed format also makes protein detection efficient and reduces cross-contamination among multiple reagent bottles.

The line includes three different sensitivities that, combined with low background signals, enable detection of protein concentrations down to the femtomole range without enhancers or special buffers. The reagents are also compatible, complementing Millipore’s selection of Western blot reagents and tools, including Immobilon blotting membranes, antibodies, blocking buffers and the SNAP id vacuum-based protein detection system.
