The Thermo Scientific Acrometrix BCR-ABL Panel is a molecular quality control panel, intended for use as an external control panel for analytical validation of BCR-ABL test methods.
BCR-ABL is a biomarker for chronic myeloid leukaemia, a persistent bone marrow cancer. Blood tests monitor the effectiveness of targeted drug therapy for chronic myeloid leukaemia by detecting and quantitating the BCR-ABL gene. BCR-ABL RNA must be accurately quantitated to make critical, timely, patient treatment decisions. The Acrometrix BCR-ABL Panel means laboratorians can now monitor assay performance at every clinical stage due to expanded dynamic range.
The product is a full-process molecular control for challenging validated BCR-ABL assay performance, designed to provide researchers and laboratorians with confidence through the use a highly characterised product. Additionally, the molecular control panel is traceable to WHO standards for genetic reference panels for the quantitation of BCR-ABL.
