Waters MassTrak Steroid Serum (IVD) Sets

Waters has launched two MassTrak Steroid Serum (IVD) Sets designed to provide clinical diagnostic laboratories with reagents and standards needed for laboratory developed tests (LDTs) for the measurement of steroid hormones in serum. They contain all standards needed for developing the steroid LDTs, including calibrators, quality controls, internal standards and optimisation mix, saving laboratories critical time and resources when preparing these tests.

The sets are designed for use by large hospitals and independent clinical laboratories in developing and implementing fit-for-purpose steroid tests. Laboratories can accelerate development timelines for assays and enable compliance with ISO 15189 and CLSI C62-A.

The sets offer: metrologically traceable calibrators and controls that are traceable to both certified reference materials (CRM) and Reference Forward Models (RfM); high lot-to-lot manufacturing and value assignment consistency, enabling good LC-MS method performance in peer lab comparison; broad concentration ranges for all analytes, exceeding known reference ranges; and long on-shelf and in-use stability, allowing usage over an extended period of time.
