AXT to distribute Thermo Fisher Scientific materials analysis products
Analytical solutions provider AXT has signed an agreement with the Nano-scale Materials Analysis product lines of Thermo Fisher Scientific, whereby AXT will become the company’s distributor in Australia and New Zealand for its Surface Analysis and Microanalysis product lines. AXT Managing Director Richard Trett said the partnership “helps to extend our product offering in the materials analysis marketplace”.
The Surface Analysis product line, based in the UK, includes a range of XPS (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy) models: Thermo Scientific K-Alpha+, Thermo Scientific ESCALAB 250Xi and the Thermo Scientific Theta Probe. The systems are suited to the analysis of complex surfaces, thin films and interfaces.
The Microanalysis Product line, based in the USA, manufactures a range of microanalysis solutions for electron microscopy, including EDS/WDS spectroscopy and EBSD solutions. In particular, the Thermo Scientific NORAN System 7 provides accurate results in just seconds due to high-sensitivity X-ray detectors and sophisticated software.
“The XPS product range adds a whole new technology to our portfolio helping to make us a complete solution provider in our field,” said Trett. “The microanalysis products enhance the appeal of the Tescan SEMs that we distribute, making the new products an ideal fit for AXT.”
