Direct shipping through Scientex for AAPPTec chemicals
Scientific instrument supplier Scientex has announced that US chemical company AAPPTec will now ship its products directly to Australian customers. It is as though customers are ordering direct from AAPPTec, except that invoices are issued in Australian dollars.
Scientex noted that it is not so practical to have comprehensive stock in Australia, as the range of products is much too large and the Australian customer requirements are quite varied. Additionally, there is a lag in time that results in having stock shipped from the US, stored by Scientex and then despatched.
By taking the double handling out of the procedure, Australian customers are able to have a similar service to those in the US. Scientex will ship products directly to customers using the same door-to-door courier services that deliver worldwide.
Australian customers will be invoiced by Scientex in Australian dollars, thus eliminating the headaches of courier charges and foreign currency paperwork and fees. The company will handle this itself for a modest fee, which is shown on the quotation and invoice.
Finally, AAPPTec has a hard copy of its catalogue that gives an overview of the peptide synthesisers and ancillary apparatus. Scientex has these catalogues available and will be happy to send them out on request.
