LSQ and NZBIO sign MoU
Life Sciences Queensland (LSQ) recently recognised its ongoing interaction with NZBIO with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
LSQ is an industry organisation working to provide opportunities for life sciences firms in Australia, while NZBIO is a member-based organisation focused on growing New Zealand’s bioeconomy. LSQ has had a presence at the annual NZBIO conference for 10 years, and the MoU was signed at NZBIO 2014.
The MoU aims to maximise impact in a third market through working in partnership, utilise existing networks to mutual advantage and boost the sharing of agendas in areas of common interest. It was signed by NZBIO Chairman Dr Gavin Ross and LSQ Chairman Dr Peter Riddles with the purpose of establishing the NZBIO-LSQ Alliance.
“Queensland had a strong stakeholder presence at NZBIO 2014 for a 10th consecutive year, including LSQ members BioPharmaceuticals Australia, ERA Consulting and Agritechnology,” said LSQ CEO Mario Pennisi.
“The memorandum formalises the close work relationship that Queensland and New Zealand have enjoyed, and will provide a platform for future interaction in the industry.”
