REFLEX to distribute Olympus mining analysers
Olympus Australia has announced that REFLEX is now its official representative for portable X-ray fluorescence (pXRF) and portable X-ray diffraction (pXRD) mining analysers in Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory. This permits REFLEX to sell the analysers both individually and as an integral part of the company’s real-time, sub-surface, intelligence solutions for the minerals market.
“This agreement formalises the good relationship between the two companies,” said Andrew Taylor, IBD industrial and mining regional sales manager with Olympus. “REFLEX is well recognised as a trusted brand in the resources sector, so this agreement will allow us to broaden the distribution of our geochemical analysers in this space.”
pXRF and pXRD analysers provide fast, real-time, non-destructive qualitative and quantitative characterisation of materials. In particular, Olympus’s DELTA and TERRA ranges are said to contain some of the most advanced handheld and portable XRF and XRD analysers available today.
“These models have been developed for those customers who require speed, reliability, precision and ease of operation, all in a field-portable package,” said Taylor.
The optional addition of REFLEX Command software and communication, with their secure, cloud-based data platform (REFLEX IQ-HUB), means significant operational advantages can be achieved by companies in the resources industry. The combination enables real-time access to quantitative geochemical data for immediate and decisive action.
