Waters acquires Analytical Products Group
Waters Corporation has completed the purchase of the net assets of Analytical Products Group (APG) and will immediately merge APG into its existing Environmental Resource Associates (ERA) operations to form a comprehensive environmental proficiency testing (PT) and reference materials partner.
Existing and prospective laboratory customers stand to benefit through expanded availability of laboratory standards, access to a secure data system and the assurance of leading regulatory and quality systems tools.
“Long recognised for its leading regulatory compliance business, ERA is complemented by APG’s strengths in quality improvement through proficiency evaluation,” said Carl Craig, president, Environmental Resource Associates for the Waters Division.
With customers’ data residing in one data system, ERA has a comprehensive system that is capable of providing laboratory performance mapping, z-score trending, method performance review, direct EDD uploading and director-level regulatory and quality management tools.
