Within a laboratory, there a many instances in which employees are exposed to workplace hazards. Some of these can be minimised by implementing basic safety procedures and practices. For this reason, Pro-Visual Publishing, in conjunction with the National Safety Council of Australia Foundation and Safe Work Australia, has released the 2015/16 edition of the Laboratory Guide to Workplace Safety.

All staff members must ensure they are adhering to the correct attitude and practices within a laboratory. They should follow chemical handling, housekeeping, emergency and hygiene procedures to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained. Additionally, an alcohol and other drug policy is essential in creating a safe working environment, safeguarding against the abuse of alcohol and other drugs.

Pro-Visual Publishing is a specialist in wall-mounted workplace health and safety, food safety and hygiene, and health and wellbeing information resource charts. Each chart is practical and informative, providing a quick reference point for management and staff. The charts are designed to inform, motivate, educate and, above all, keep people and their workplaces safe.
