The doors/drawers remain open to allow for easy removal of chemicals and will close automatically if the temperature exceeds 50 °C. The cabinets are fully insulated and are designed to withstand burn-through for over 90 minutes whereas most conventionally designed cabinets are only designed to withstand burn-through for 10 minutes.
