The versatile Freedom EVO from Tecan is a series of liquid handling platforms and robotic workstations. The Freedom EVO platform delivers flexibility and possibilities for expansion according to future needs. Powered by an intuitive software, Freedom EVOware, each system is equipped to successfully automate genomic, proteomic, drug discovery, and other life science applications.

Tecan offers the Freedom EVO platform in four different base sizes (75, 100, 150 and 200 cm). Each platform can be combined with a wide choice of robotic arms, liquid handling tools and application options powered by a straightforward software to meet individual needs.

Highlights of the Freedom EVO portfolio include: parallel processing by up to three liquid handling and robotic arm options; choice of one or two high precision liquid handling arms that can each be equipped with one, two, four or eight washable or disposable pipetting tips; 96- or 384 multi-channel pipetting head options; and freely configurable worktable that may include separation and detection devices, shakers and incubators in addition to standard labware carriers and is easily reconfgiured for multiple applications or different users.

Fully automated, high security source and destination bar code identification is achieved via Tecan's PosID option and standalone bar code readers.

The Freedom EVO is an open automation platform product for general laboratory use. It is intended for routine laboratory tasks, such as general-purpose pipetting and general-purpose liquid handling and robotic processes.
