Netter NTK model vibratory feeder

Thursday, 05 August, 2010 | Supplied by: Vibration Systems & Solutions (Australia) Pty Ltd

In addition to the regular EziPack vibrating feeder, Vibration Systems & Solutions has released the EziPack 4, a smaller version with a 4 L hopper and reduced tray size.

The tray is still in a vee shape but, with reduced cross-section, it offers very fine adjustment of feed rate. On recent tests the unit was capable of being controlled to give a mass increment of 0.0001 g.

The unit is driven by a linear vibrator and can be operated fully manually, or via an electro-pneumatic controller. The latter is connected to an electronic scale to allow two-speed, ‘rapid fill/slow top-up’ operation. This makes the unit suitable for highly accurate and repeatable filling of small containers for assay or sampling test work.

Other than the vibrator and air controls, all parts are stainless steel and, while the vibrator unit is aluminium, it does not require any lubrication, so there is no danger of product contamination.

Although pneumatic equipment is often considered to be intrinsically safe, the Netter NTK model vibrator can also be supplied to ATEX specifications for use in dust or gas hazardous atmospheres.
