AdipoGen Life Sciences APRIL ELISA Kit and BAFF ELISA Kit
AdipoGen Life Sciences has released ELISA kits for the specific quantitative determination of the B cell stimulating molecules — APRIL (a proliferation-inducing ligand) (human) and BAFF (B-cell activating factor) (human) — in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants.
The B cell-stimulating molecules BAFF and APRIL are cytokines of the TNF superfamily and are critical factors in the maintenance of B cell pool and humoral immunity. BAFF and APRIL are implicated in several human autoimmune diseases with autoreactive B cell involvement. Additionally, APRIL might function in enhancing proliferation of some tumour cells, and BAFF levels are increased in some lymphoid cancers.
The kits are both sandwich ELISAs which allow for the sensitive and specific determination of these molecules. The APRIL ELISA Kit has a sensitivity of 7 pg/mL and range of 7.8 to 500 pg/mL. The BAFF Soluble (human) ELISA Kit is hypersensitive with a sensitivity of 8 pg/mL and a range of 15.6 to 500 pg/mL. Additionally, it does not cross-react with mouse BAFF.
