Agrisera Protein Extraction Buffer with Precellys homogeniser for plant and algal protein isolation
Protein Extraction Buffer (PEB) from Agrisera is designed for the solubilisation of total protein from plant tissue and algal cells. The use of the anionic detergent LDS increases the quantity of solubilised and non-degraded proteins. The product is ready to use directly from the refrigerator as LDS does not precipitate out.
The company has validated the product with the Precellys tissue homogeniser (Bertin Technologies) for rapid protein isolation from multiple samples with high yields and reproducible results: isolation of microalgae protein using 3 x 20 s at 6500 rpm on the Precellys. The buffer has been tested on a wide range of species and tissues from higher plants, mosses, lichens, algae, diatoms, dinoflagellates and cyanobacteria.
