Thursday, 07 May, 2015 | Supplied by: Thermo Fisher Scientific

The Applied Biosystems QuantStudio 3 and QuantStudio 5 Real-Time PCR systems are designed to enable multi-institutional work across geographically dispersed teams. Designed for low- to mid-throughput laboratories conducting real-time PCR experiments, the systems connect to the Thermo Fisher Cloud computing platform, allowing applied and clinical researchers to learn, analyse, share, collaborate and obtain support within a single platform.

Researchers worldwide can collaborate online in real time, accessing their data wherever and whenever necessary. Laboratories can share experimental conditions and results with their partners while providing a uniform experience for every user, as well as minimising training and errors.

As the PCR systems are hosted on AWS, they benefit from the security of the AWS Cloud. Build for flexibility and security, the cloud provides a scalable platform that enables users to deploy applications and data quickly and securely. Researchers using the PCR systems can access their work any time they have an internet connection, without the need for subscription software.

The instruments seamlessly integrate with existing analysis workflows, syncing with next-generation sequencing, capillary electrophoresis and qPCR applications to create a customised data ecosystem. Interactive touch-screen controls allow scientists to directly manage experiments with intuitive commands. The systems include the Thermo Scientific OptiFlex white LED optical system and VeriFlex thermal technology.
