Enzo Life Sciences PKA kinase activity kit
Protein kinase A (PKA), also known as cAMP-dependent protein kinase, is the primary mediator of cAMP action and a key regulatory enzyme responsible for many key cellular processes such as cell growth and metabolism, DNA replication, cell division and actin cytoskeleton rearrangements by catalysing phosphorylation in response to hormonal stimuli. cAMP-dependent PKA is the principal intracellular target for cAMP in mammalian cells. PKA has become an important drug target because of its key role in cellular functions.
Enzo Life Sciences’ PKA kinase activity kit is a safe, rapid method for screening of inhibitors or activators of PKA and for quantitating PKA activity in partially purified, purified or crude enzyme preparations. It is a non-radioactive assay that gives users the ability to an endpoint or kinetic assay read-out in a convenient 96-well plate-based assay and offers easy sample-handling protocols. The assay also offers a high signal-to-background ratio.
