Fast PCR on any real-time cycler

QuantiFast Kits are claimed to deliver faster results in real-time PCR. With time savings of up to 60% on existing cyclers claimed, there is no need for hardware upgrades. In addition, no PCR optimisation is required, even if using previously established assays. Kits are available for SYBR Green or probe-based detection in PCR, two-step RT-PCR and one-step RT-PCR.

A specially developed fast PCR buffer containing the patent-pending additive Q-Bond reduces denaturation, annealing and extension times. The buffer also contains HotStarTaq Plus DNA Polymerase, which requires only 3 or 5 mins at 95°C for activation. For one-step RT-PCR, the optimised QuantiFast RT Mix enables cDNA synthesis in 10 mins.

Accurate quantification of even low copy numbers are achieved with QuantiFast Kits. A balanced combination of KCl and NH4Cl in the fast PCR buffer promotes specific primer annealing, enabling high PCR specificity and sensitivity.

QuantiFast Kits are ready-to-use master mixes that eliminate the need for optimisation of reaction and cycling conditions. The kits are compatible with cyclers that use ROX dye for fluorescence normalisation (no optimisation of ROX concentration is necessary) and with cyclers that do not.

Novel Q-Bond technology is also used by the Qiagen Fast Cycling PCR Kit, which is designed for standard and challenging end-point PCR applications. Significant time savings of up to 75% are claimed.
