GE Healthcare Life Sciences DNAscan Rapid DNA Analysis System
GE Healthcare Life Sciences has launched its DNA analyser technology, DNAscan. About the size of a printer, the product uses microfluidics, whereby the scanner analyses a DNA sample and provides results in less than 85 min.
Designed for police departments, national security agencies, immigration and the military, the DNA analysis system is fully operator-independent, with all reagents and materials preloaded into one self-contained, single-use BioChipSet cassette.
Onboard security maintains data privacy and tracks chain of custody, ensuring the portable device can be securely transported to aid emergency services in the field.
