A tumour marker is a substance produced, or induced, by cancer cells that can be detected in body fluids or tumour tissues. The identification of a single marker, or a combination of different tumour markers, can reveal the presence of a particular cancer, its stage and a prognostic outlook following treatment or during an extended therapeutic course.
GeneTex offers antibody products for key markers recognised by the US National Institutes of Health (NIH). The products cover tumour markers for pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, liver cancer, colorectal cancer, melanoma, lung cancer and leukaemia.
