Axygen has presented their new Maxygene Gradient Thermal Cycler. The Maxygene is designed to produce a compact, low-cost cycler which has all the programmability and advanced functionality of larger, more expensive instruments.
The Maxygene is supplied with pre-programmed protocols for standard PCR, touchdown PCR and long range PCR. The large LCD backlit display and intuitive software allows for ease in programming custom protocols. And with a 100 program memory, everyone can use it with the confidence of program protection.
The Maxygene also has a range of additional features including:
- Linear gradient option, of up to 24 °C across the block
- programmable lid temperature
- ramping rates up to 3 °C/sec
It is fully compatible with a range of tube and plate formats and has a two-year warranty.
