Mercodia Insulin MBeads Assay

Mercodia’s Insulin MBeads Assay is a chemiluminescent-based, high-throughput tool designed for highly specific insulin measurement from minimal sample volumes utilising magnetic bead technology. It is optimised for detecting human insulin in serum, conditioned media, cell lysates and homogenates from perifusion experiments and other in vitro cultures derived from human cells.

The assay is designed to offer high accuracy by specifically measuring human insulin while minimising cross-reactivity with other similar cross-reactants. It requires only 10 µL of sample per well, reducing the need for unnecessary dilutions, and is suitable for volume-limited experiments.

Each assay kit contains reagents for 5 x 96 wells, with an assay range of 6.73–960 mU/L and a total incubation time of 2 h and 5 min. Cross reactivities to human C-peptide, human proinsulin, mouse insulin and rat insulin have not been detected.

The assay kit is distributed by Sapphire Bioscience in Australia and New Zealand, and is intended for Research Use Only (RUO).
