Microplate handler and automation solution

The Twister II advanced microplate handler is more than a high-capacity plate stacker, it's a plug-and-play benchtop automation solution.

The Twister II, from Caliper Life Sciences, has been designed to address the need for a microplate handler with multiple instrument capability, increased speed and capacity, flexibility and simple easy-to-use software.

Currently, there are in excess of 100 software adapters for Twister II allowing integration with instruments such as microplate washers, readers, plate sealers, incubators, liquid handlers, plate storage systems and thermal cyclers. Instruments from various suppliers including BioTek, BMG Labtech, GE Healthcare, PerkinElmer, Molecular Devices, Caliper Life Sciences and Applied Biosystems (to name a few) have been integrated with the Twister II.

The storage system with the Twister II is modular. A total of three pods each housing three stacks (a total of nine stackers) can be purchased. Each stack holds up to 40 SBS format microplates or the equivalent in automation-friendly pipette tips.
