Sigma-Aldrich TruPAGE precast gels

TruPAGE precast gels are designed to provide precise SDS-PAGE protein separation consistently with every consecutive experiment. The gels are formulated with TEA-Tricine and provide a running environment that helps prevent protein modification during the course of the experiment.

The gels come in two gel cassette sizes (10 x 10 and 10 x 8 cm) for increased equipment compatibility. Two well formats (12- and 17-well) accommodate greater sample volumes than most other precast polyacrylamide gels. They are available in four different gel concentrations (10%, 12%, 4-12% and 4-20%), which provide for good resolution of proteins of any size.

The use of TruPAGE buffers when running TruPAGE gels ensures optimal reproducibility and consistently good results. The gels are compatible with Sigma-Aldrich, Life Technologies and Bio-Rad equipment and are said to be stronger than standard polyacrylamide. With run times as low as 30 min, no comb to pull, no tape to remove and no ‘foot’ to cut off, they are easy to use.
