The Tempo YM automated quality indication system has been designed as a rapid solution for direct enumeration of yeast and mould in food samples.

The technology behind Tempo is based on the most probable number (MPN) method. The system takes the MPN method and standardises numerous preparation steps, interpretation and tests providing fast, accurate results.

The system menu covers a range of quality indicator testing needs: total viable count (AOAC OMA approved); Escherichia coli, total coliforms, coliforms count; Staphylococcus; Enterobacteriaceae; yeast and mould; and lactic acid bacteria.
