Human magnetic field exposure testing

The Hioki Model 3470 Magnetic Field HiTester is designed to measure human exposure to magnetic flux in electromagnetic fields in accordance with IEC standards (IEC62233; EN50366) and International Commission on Non-Ionising Protection Commission (ICNIRP) guidelines.

Two isotropic flux detectors are available, one with a cross-sectional area 3 cm2 and another with a cross-sectional area of 100 cm2. Field measurements can be made in three unit systems, Tesla, Gauss and Amperes/m, and in the range of 10 Hz to 400 kHz thus covering commercial and induction heating applications. Measurements can be output in tri-axial format providing field strength parameters in x, y and z coordinates as well as in resultant (R) mode in the range from 0.050 micro-Tesla to 3.464 milli-Tesla.

The Hioki 3470 Magnetic Field HiTester is supplied with PC application software including RMS logging, batch export and tester set-up functions.
