$1.5 million for vaccine research

Innovation and Information Economy Minister, Paul Lucas, has just announced a commercial research and development venture involving the University of Southern Queensland and the private sector.

The collaborative research project aims to develop improved genetically-engineered vaccines for whooping cough, anti-staphylococcal biopharmaceuticals, and vaccines for respiratory diseases of livestock.

The joint venture includes the University of Southern Queensland, Delta Biotechnology and Alpha Neutraceuticals.
