Micromass Acquires Mass Analyser Products
Micromass UK, a division of Waters (USA), have acquired Mass Analyser Products (MAP).
Mass Analyser Products designs, manufactures and sells mass spectrometers for the measurement of noble gas isotope ratios. Noble gas mass spectrometry is used to date geological materials by measuring the isotope ratios of the inert gases in rocks.
MAP access to Micromass' world-wide spares and service network will enhance the after sales service to users. The company aims to continue to provide channels for users to talk directly to those involved in manufacture.
MAP employees will continue to be involved in the day to day running of the business, design, manufacture and testing of MAP products, which will continue unaffected.
The full range of MAP 215-50 mass spectrometers and accessories complement Micromass' existing 5400.
