LabWare, an international software products company focused exclusively on configurable Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), has announced the availability of an advanced charting module for its LabWare LIMS software through a joint development effort with Northwest Analytical (NWA).
The LabWare Charting Option provides users the ability to generate a variety of control charts without leaving the LIMS environment and avoids the need to export data between applications.
'Interactive' control charts and trend plots can be generated to support statistical quality control (SQC) functions, or to display trends of analytical data over any time interval. Double-clicking any data point or outlier on the chart will display detailed information about the data point from LIMS.
The Charting Module also supports advanced programmatic interaction using LabWare's embedded scripting language-LIMS Basic. Using LIMS Basic commands, charts can be generated based upon system events, and automatically updated as new data points become available in LabWare LIMS.
Control charts and trend plots can also be incorporated into other LIMS-generated report formats such as Crystal Reports, Microsoft Office Reports and Secure PDF documents.
