Automating mammalian cell counting

ChemoMetec's NucleoCounter offers an alternative to haemocytometers for those charged with the mundane, yet critical, task of counting mammalian cells.

Unlike some other cell counters that measure particle size, ChemoMetec's system counts cells based on DNA fluorescence.

It is automated and requires neither calibration nor maintenance. The instrument's readout takes around 30 seconds and removes the subjectivity of manual counting.

The device's footprint is approximately 38 x 22 cm and requires a sample 50 µL.

The actual analysis requires 2 µL of prepared sample. This volume is, however, larger than other types of counters, even haemocytometers, so statistically, it should be more accurate.
