COD measurement system

Hanna's C99 COD analyser is a multi-parameter ion specific meter designed for wastewater or environmental testing. C99 allows for a COD measurement based on the Closed Reflux Colorimetric Method over three different ranges: 0 to 150 mg/L, 0 to 1500 mg/L and 0 to 15,000 mg/L.

This method is based on the requirements of the two main official sources for chemical analysis in water and wastewater: Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater (20th Ed) method #5220D and EPA Methods and Guidance for Analysis of Water (version 2.0), USEPA method #310.4.

All items needed have been designed for accurate, easy and safe measurement of COD; C99 Cod analyser, HI93754 series of pre-dosed reagents, C9800 test tube heater, HI740216 test tube cooling rack and HI740217 safety shield. Each item can be ordered separately and can be used with compatible instrumentation.

Packs of 25 cuvettes pre-dosed with reagents are available in low, medium and high ranges. Hanna's COD reagents are fully compatible with COD systems that are based on the potassium dichromate method, free from chloride interferences. Cuvettes are a standard 16 mm diameter.

The C9800 test tube reactor accepts up to 25 standard 16 mm diameter cuvettes for each reaction cycle. An accurate temperature control system ensures the digestion develops at 150°C ±2°C. The C9800 features user selectable temperature, timing mode (timed or infinity) and acoustic alarm. In addition to COD measurement, the C99 is also programmed to test up to 39 parameters, with no need for programming or the installation of filters.
