Culture Filtration

Corning Vacuum Filter Systems (Filter plus Bottle) and Bottle Top Filters are designed for the filtration of cell culture media, biological fluids, and other aqueous solutions. They are available in a variety of membrane materials (PES, CN, CA and Nylon) and pore sizes to match different applications.

Each Filter System/Bottle Top Filter has the membrane material and pore size printed on the unit and is colour-coded by membrane type for easy product identification.

All filtration products are provided sterile and certified non-pyrogenic. Expiration date of the membrane (printed on the filter funnel and shipping boxes) is three years from the time the product is sterilised.

Products are made of polystyrene (funnel) and polyethylene (neck adapter). All Bottle Top Filters are supplied with glass fibre pre-filters and are available in two neck sizes to fit both narrow (33 mm) and wide mouth (45 mm) media bottles. They are available in sizes ranging from 50 to 1000 mL.

Filter systems feature an easy grip polystyrene bottle to facilitate handling. Glass fibre pre-filters are supplied with all systems 150 mL and larger.
