Digital gel analysis system

The Ultra-Cam 4100 system is a small, standalone digital gel analysis/visualisation system for all laboratories.

The Ultra-Cam 4100 digital imaging and analysis system now includes a compact hood with white light EPI illumination, incorporating a simple swing-out door for easy access to the transilluminator surface. The system is mountable on virtually any transilluminator. The 4.0 megapixel CCD camera is horizontally mounted, allowing users to easily view the LCD and control the camera. The integrated white light EPI lighting makes visible applications (colony counting, autorads, etc) simple. If required, the white light is fully upgradeable to UV for fluorescence imaging.

A dedicated PC is not required to operate the Ultra-Cam 4100 as the system includes a memory card reader, allowing the user to download images to any PC or laptop. Images can also be viewed directly to a monitor or printed directly to a thermal printer.

The system includes 1D electrophoresis gel analysis software, with many features - from molecular weight determination to accurately quantifying band material - all with full automation. The software also allows for remote camera control and image acquisition.
