Ducted Fume Extraction

The Smoothflow 2000 series of fume cupboards is manufactured with double sidewall construction to provide sidewall mounted service outlets. This aids containment and eliminates flow reversal due to eddy currents caused by protruding mullions.

The radiused sill is engineered to provide no reverse flow or eddy currents at the sill entry point, improving fume cupboard safety and performance.

In combination with the anti spill lip and proportional under work top extraction, the best performance is given, while an operator is in the working position, ie, any heavier than air fumes which may lay low or go beneath the work top will be picked up by the proportional extraction from the anti spill lip and under sump area extraction.

The Smoothflow 2000 fume cupboards are constructed from PVC or Fire-kem (a fire retardant polypropylene) that gives corrosive resistance to chemicals, is lightweight, homogenous and solvent resistant.

The units also come with the Smoothflow Safety Control System and optional Sensaflow controller that reduces the amount of conditioned air from the laboratory. Smoothflow 2000 fume cupboards are claimed to exceed the Australian Standard, AS 2243 Part 8, Safety in Laboratories, Fume Cupboards and are NATA certified.
