GBC has released its extended range diffuse reflectance sphere for use with UV/vis spectrophotometers. This sphere operates over the range of 190 to 1200 nm.

This enables operation in multiple areas of the spectrum including UV, visible and infrared - the latter having already been embraced by defence applications for the monitoring of IR absorbance on clothing and paintwork.

The large versatile sample compartment enables a myriad of samples to be analysed including liquids as well as solid materials. The solid materials may be in a rigid or flexible form so that samples such as solid metal or fabric may be easily inserted.

The software enables both simple analysis as well as advanced algorithms to be incorporated. The common colour scales are incorporated with full data manipulation capabilities. The software allows compare functions as well as a multitude of other manipulations and calculations.
