The FOP-38 Analyser has been designed to provide a means of measuring protein, moisture, fat, sugar and alcohol in foods, beverages, dairy products, processed meats and other products. The combination of a diode array spectrophotometer and a fibre optic probe is packaged in a portable carry case.

A selection of fibre optic probes provides the ability to collect NIR spectra from 720-1100 nm in transmission, diffuse reflectance or interactance modes. The probes are constructed of stainless steel and have glass windows.

The probes can be used to make measurements of materials which cannot be easily sampled from a process stream or where they would change state if taken back to a laboratory. Examples include: cheese, plastic films, fibres, suspensions, pastes and emulsions.
