The SGE gc-BackFlush System is designed to reverse the flow through a capillary column at a predetermined time. This allows heavier compounds in a sample to be flushed out of the injection port before reaching the capillary column and finally the detector.
The gc-BackFlush system eliminates the need to bake heavy sample fractions off the capillary column which increases the column lifetime. Run times will also be significantly reduced and lower oven temperatures required, culminating in longer column life and no carryover between samples.
