Agilent Technologies has introduced the second in its line of human cDNA microarray kits. The ready to use kit, with human genome screening capabilities, delivers consistent genomic information.

Based on Agilent's industrial-scale inkjet manufacturing of printed microarrays, the cDNA microarrays contain more than 14,000 amplicons representing cDNAs from Incyte's proprietary Human Foundation 1 and 2 clone sets. With the Agilent Human 2 cDNA Microarray Kit (G4101A) and the previous version (G4100A), researchers can now study the expression of more than 25,000 human sequences with the convenience and consistency associated with a prepackaged format.

Agilent's cDNA microarrays are printed on standard 1" x 3" glass slides that can be imaged on numerous microarray scanners including Agilent's 48-slide DNA microarray scanner (G2565AA). In addition, the cDNA microarrays are based on a two-colour assay format that enables simultaneous expression analysis of two samples on one microarray, reducing variability and increasing productivity.

All Agilent cDNA microarray kits are delivered with four microarrays (two each printed per glass slide), hybridisation buffer, user protocol and a CD containing pertinent microarray layout information. For ease of use, an optional Agilent Fluorescent Direct Label Kit for cDNA synthesis and labelling is also available.
