ICP-Optical Emission Spectrometer

The Vista-MPX inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES) is a viable choice for laboratories that could previously only justify buying a sequential ICP system.

The Vista-MPX can measure all 22 US EPA environmental elements (Method 200.7) in five minutes per sample.

The Vista-MPX is suitable for environmental laboratories analysing soil, water and wastewater, chemical and petrochemical applications, food and beverage QA/QC and clinical laboratories analysing toxic elements in body fluids.

The Vista-MPX features a megapixel array charge coupled device (CCD) detector that has over 1.1 million pixels, or light sensing elements, providing full wavelength coverage from 175-785 nm. The Vista-MPX provides the wavelength selection flexibility required to overcome spectral interferences and to provide automatic results confirmation.

The MultiCal feature automatically assigns each sample to the best wavelength for that result - extending the linear range from parts-per-billion to percentage levels.

Vista-MPX is accompanied by Varian's easy to use ICP Expert software featuring a worksheet format. For operator training and easy maintenance, ICP Expert offers online video tutorials. Spectral interference problems are easily solved with the online Fast Automated Curve-fitting Technique (FACT). ICP Expert is compatible with a range of Windows operating systems including Windows 98, 2000 and NT-4.
