The Raytek MX6 is a handheld infrared thermometer with integral digital camera. Temperature measurements are made instantly and easily with the full function thermometer in the range of -30 to 900°C or with SZ option from -50 to 500°C. The target is accurately indicated with a bright coaxial circular laser which is accurate at any distance. Standard optics provide 60:1 distance to target ratio, while the CF option allows targets as small as 6 mm at 300 mm. The MX6 can be programmed with up to 100 customised locations by name and with alarms.

When the target is set up, press the trigger and take a photograph which records location, data and time, and temperature while the target is visible as a red circle. In low light a flash is automatic.

Up to 100 sets of data can be downloaded via a USB port to a PC with the Datatemp MX software. Data is presented with thumbnail images and printed data, and can be exported or embedded in standard report formats. Many choices exist for automatic online operation with photos at intervals or based on high/low alarms.

The MX6 is an economical way to assure temperatures are taken, of the right targets, at the right time, and with a minimum of complexity.
