Liquid GC autosampler

The HT300APlus is a liquid GC autosampler that also supports automated MEPS (micro extraction by packed sorbent).

Building on the success of the HT300A liquid autosampler, the HT300APlus has all the benefits of the standard HT300A with the addition of automated MEPS.

MEPS is a new development in the field of sample preparation by SPE (solid phase extraction). MEPS performs the same function as SPE, namely the purification of samples but with the following differences:

  • MEPS works with smaller samples than full-scale SPE;
  • MEPS can be fully automated - the sample processing, extraction and injection steps are performed online using the same syringe;
  • MEPS is applicable to both GC and LC;
  • MEPS reduces the time needed to prepare and inject samples;
  • MEPS reduces the volume of solvents and sample needed.

The product consists of two parts: the MEPS Syringe and the MEPS Barrel Insert and Needle Assembly (BIN). The BIN contains the SPE phase, and is built into the syringe needle. The BIN is used with a 100 or 250 µl gas-tight MEPS syringe that allows fluid handling at normal SPE pressures. The BIN is easily changed when another phase is required or the current BIN is exhausted.

The HT300APlus offers a platform for automated MEPS. The ability to prepare and inject samples online using a single device reduces sample processing time and the need for operator intervention.

It works with all current MEPS syringes. There is no need to modify the syringe mount.
