Advantech has extended its range of medical-grade computing terminals with the POC-155, POC-175 and POC-195. All Advantech point-of-care terminals are certified to UL60601-1, EN60601-1 and IEC60601-1 standards for low current leakage, making them suitable for use in sensitive environments such as operating theatres, intensive care units and patient bedsides.
Replacing POC-154 and POC-174 models, the POC-155 and POC-175 features 15 and 17" LCDs respectively. All POC-1X5 provide extensive connectivity with four COM ports, six USB 2.0 ports, a PCI bus slot, a mini PCI slot, a 100 Mb LAN port, gigabit LAN port and optional 802.11b/g wireless LAN.
Intel Pentium M processors up to 2 GHz and up to 2 GB of RAM provide scalable processing power that meets medical application needs. All Advantech 'point-of-care' terminals are sealed against water and dust and feature on/off buttons that are seamlessly integrated into the front panel for easy cleaning.
The POC-195 features a 19" LCD with a 1300:1 contrast ratio, making it suitable for medical imaging applications.
A book light and optional alarm light, trim knob and touch screen make the POC-195 easier than ever to use. The optional trim knob enables medical professionals to precisely control specific parameters such as dosage, while the optional touch screen provides a convenient interface that is easier to clean than a keyboard and mouse.
The touch screen on/off button makes the seamless front panel easy to clean by allowing the touch screen to be temporarily disabled during cleaning.
