Multi-well membrane bottom plates

The AcroPrep and AcroWell Filter Plates are a range of 96 and 384 well membrane bottom filter plates, which are available with microfiltration and ultrafiltration membranes. All plates are single piece construction and are made of polypropylene. Plates are available in a selection of natural, white and black.

These plates can be used in a wide range of applications depending principally on the membrane selected. Applications include concentration, purification and desalting of proteins and nucleic acids, cleanup of PCR products using AcroPrep filter plates with Omega ultrafiltration membranes.

AcroPrep filter plates with microfiltration membranes can be used for applications such as sample filtration, combinatorial chemistry library screening, clarification of cell lysates and tissue homogenates, preparation of proteinaceous solutions. For receptor:ligand binding assays, drug-binding studies, bead based assays, ELISA and ELISPOT or where long incubation times are required, then the AcroWell filter plates with membranes with either low or high bimolecular binding characteristics are preferred.

AcroPrep filter plates can be used in both filtrate and rententate base applications.

All AcroPrep filter plates have flow directors to facilitate filtrate collection and minimise filtrate cross contamination. AcroPrep 96 filter plates are available with either 350 µL or 1 mL wells and the AcroPrep 384 has 100 µL wells with either long or short outlet tips.

The AcroWell 96 is designed for use in retentate base applications such as hybridisation based binding assays and time resolved fluorescence.

The plate and membrane construction allows for extended or elevated temperature incubations without solution weeping from wells or crosstalk occurring between individual wells. All AcroPrep and AcroWell filter plates are designed in accordance with the standards of the Society for Bimolecular Screening and are individually barcoded for use in robotic applications.
