New intelligent inverted digital microscope for state-of-the-art research
The new inverted DigitalMicroscope, the Leica DMI6000 B, presents an intelligent solution for exacting scientific research, which combines brilliance, integration, automation and flexibility.
The Leica DMI6000 B inverted research microscope is tailored to the increasingly complex experiments required in scientific research, particularly the examination of living cells. The inverted DigitalMicroscope returns very precise and exactly reproducible results, and is equally well suited to both cell research in the life science field and routine examinations such as the scanning of cell or tissue cultures.
The new inverted microscope achieves exceptionally brilliant fluorescence because of its reduced level of background radiation, and the fluorescence axis has been completely redesigned. The fluorescence turret is equipped with up to six fluorescence filter cubes. At the touch of a button, they can be moved into position quickly and without vibration. In addition, the DMI6000 B has an ultra high-speed internal filter wheel with a built-in motorised Excitation Manager (ExMan) and Fluorescence Intensity Manager (FIM), which allows excitation of fluorochromes in under 20 milliseconds.
A versatile line of accessories that is tailored to the microscope, including incubators and heating and cooling devices, provides optimum physiological conditions for cells at all times with regard to temperature and carbon dioxide and oxygen ratios, thus creating ideal conditions for living cell observation. Particularly for micromanipulation, Leica has designed especially narrow specimen stages that allow manipulators and other peripheral devices to be positioned very close to the specimen.
