Non-Contact Level Measurement

The Prosonic M compact, ultrasonic level transmitter uses non-contact, non-intrusive level measurement to measure up to 15 m in liquids and 7 m in solids.

The transmitter offers the communication options of Hart and Profibus PA, as well as Foundation Fieldbus communication.

The local display is a high resolution, 4 line, 80 character LCD which, when in configuration mode, displays the envelope curve.

The envelope curve visually describes the behaviour of the transmitted and reflected acoustic pulse inside the vessel and assists the user to identify any possible problem areas such as agitators, protrusions, foam, etc.

IP68 provides 24 hours of protection against 1.8 m flooding. The system includes service software suitable for envelope curve recording, multiple device upload and downloads, and as a project documentation generator. Also incorporated is a 32 point linearisation table giving volume capability for odd shaped tanks, as well as open-channel flow measurement.
