Eutech Instruments has launched a series of open pore electrodes.

The single pore capillary reference junction construction of the electrode is about 200 times larger than a typical ceramic junction. When used in combination with specially formulated electrolyte such as a fluid gel electrolyte, the flow rate is faster and leads to better contact between the reference electrode and sample.

There are four different models. They are EC-620-130, EC-620-131, EC-620-132 and EC-620-133. Their double-junction construction makes them less vulnerable to contamination.

With the exception of EC-620-132 which is a plastic electrode, the other three models have a glass body for better resistance to corrosive materials and solvents. However, the plastic body electrode is a durable electrode suitable for rugged, general purpose use.

The EC-620-133 electrode has a spear tip that makes it suitable for measurement in solid and semi-solid food samples.

The polymer gel electrolyte of the 131, 132 and 133 models is pressure resistant and requires virtually no maintenance. It also withstands a wider range of 0 to 14 pH, has good temperature tolerance and has wider applications in ion weak samples.

The Ag/AgCl electrolyte of the 130 is largely hysteresis-free and tolerant of high temperatures with low temperature coefficients.
