PCR Tubes

Eppendorf 0.2 mL PCR tubes have a contamination shield on the lid which prevents the user from accidentally coming into contact with the inside of the lid when opening and closing the tube. It provides a safeguard against contamination during handling.

The tubes also feature an optimised sealing mechanism. The special hinge, which allows the lid to lock into position at 90°, enables the tube to be closed smoothly and effortlessly. This relieves any stress on the sealing lip at the edge of the lid and successfully eliminates any risk of evaporation during the PCR.

Another addition is the labelling surface on the body of the tube. In addition to the frosted lid, users now have extra writing space in which to avoid confusion of samples and tubes.

The accessories also make these miniature tubes a lot easier to handle. A workplate in the microtiter plate format can be used to insert the tubes in a 96-well thermoblock. In combination with a frame, this work plate functions as a handy tube rack.

The thin-walled PCR tubes are manufactured in line with the requirements of the certified PCR clean standard. The tubes are available individually or in strips of five or eight, which also have their own hinged lids.
