Sirius Analytical Instruments has published a free brochure detailing its D-PAS instrument for the measurement of pKa of mono- or multi-protic molecules.

The D-PAS brochure is designed to introduce the pharmaceutical and biotech industries to the benefits of measuring pKa for the completion of the full physiochemical profile of a compound.

D-PAS is designed as an accessory for the Sirius GLpKaa and PCA200a instruments. It enables pKa to be measured spectrophotometrically, providing automatic calculation of results. This means lower sample concentraptions, increased sensitivity and no electrode noise.

In addition, D-PAS can be used to detect the onset and presence of turbidity in the experimental solution. The spectral data can also give information about the molar extinction co-efficient for all the species present. D-PAS is suitable for both single- or multi-protic molecules and macro- and micro-constants.
