Thermal cycler

The Eppendorf Mastercycler ep is a fast, flexible, user-friendly PCR thermal cycler.

With three distinct gradient models to choose from, the Mastercycler ep systems are fast with ramping speeds up to 6°C/s. Available in 384 and 96 x 0.2 mL formats and a choice of silver or aluminium blocks, the units feature an advanced electrically controlled heated lid (ESP technology) that comes in manual or robotic lid formats.

The intuitive graphic display allows the user to mouse click and drag through the programming features as well as a graphical plot of the progress of the PCR reaction. A removable multimedia card gives unlimited program storage and flexible protocol transfer possibilities. Up to five systems can be controlled by one control panel, or up to 30 systems can be controlled by the optional PC control software.

Each cycler has been designed to support a future optional upgrade to perform real-time PCR quantitation. The whole system is password protected. The modular choices give the flexibility to create a system to suit each individual user.
